| Aastra have a plan for delivering UC that will deliver real benefits, rather than the 'Fantasy UC' being offered by many others .... article | Aastra’s “overlay” strategy, which allows Aastra’s productivity applications to run on top of customers’ legacy equipment. Aastra’s “Immediate productivity without immediate replacement” philosophy allows customers to migrate at their own pace with minimal up-front capital outlay. This provides investment protection and assurances for customers of the companies that have been acquired, and is a prime reason why many of Aastra’s customers have been using their products for over 20 years. |

Aastra France are conducting a series of surveys on Collaborative Unified Communications to identify the current take up, and the drivers and obstacles. We think the results are similar to what you would expect if you undertook the study in the UK. The survey results are published in the portal. |

| Aastra launch a new program targeted at promoting the Enterprise Solutions Portfolio to the UK ICT consultant community. It is a sign that Aastra are going to be very active in the marketplace in 2010. This programme is launched to coincide with the new MX-ONE version 4 and the award winning Solidus 7 platform. | |

There are a number of partners claiming to be able to look after MD110 / MX-ONE systems. The Aastra list is not that helpful either. After a number of complaints from end users we have published who we understand are the approved main choices out there today (published on the partners page). It consists of a sales and service partner schematic for the 'approved' suppliers to end users Aastra MD110/MX-ONE. If anyone feels there are additions to make or if you would like to comment on the information please contact us. |

Ericsson Enterprise have complete a series of launch events in the UK for the new Enterprise Multimedia Server (EMS), a pure SIP based softswitch catering for the 50-500 user market. General Availability from the end of December. |

Ericsson Mobile gateway brings FMC to non-Ericsson IPBXs in the latest release. Ericsson and Microsoft have launched a fully integrated, mobile, unified communications experience for business users at Microsoft’s worldwide Unified Communications Launch 2007 in San Francisco using the mobility gateway. The new IPLU is launched with MX-ONE™ Telephony Switch (i.e. BC13) providing 4 times the capacity of the old ELU 32. For those looking for enhanced IP phone features this is worth considering. Ericsson are offering a trade- in deal on ELU32. For full details contact your sales partner. |
